About Happo Town
Happo Town was created in 2006 through the merger of Hachimori Town and Minehama Village. Facing the Shirakami Mountains and the Sea of Japan, the area was certified in 2012 as a Japanese Geopark, the Happo Shirakami Geopark. The town office is in Minehama Menagata, in a building that went into service in 2009.
