About Kosaka Town
Kosaka Town was established in 1955 through the merger of Kosaka Town and Nanataki Village. Its history of prosperity from the Kosaka Mine is conveyed by the Korakukan playhouse and the Kosaka Mine Office, and the western side of Lake Towada also lies within the town. The town office is in Kosaka (Kamiyachi), having moved in 2014 into the renovated building of the former Kosaka Junior High School.
