About Toon City
Toon was created in 2004 by the merger of the towns of Shigenobu and Kawauchi, and is the only city in Ehime that is landlocked with no coastline. It is home to Shiraino Falls and the Botchan Theater, among other attractions. The city office uses the former Shigenobu town office building in Minara.
