About Ikeda Town
In 1955 the villages of Kamiikeda and Shimoikeda merged to form Ikeda Village, which became a town in 1964. About 90% of the town is forested, it receives heavy snowfall, and it is home to Ryusogadaki Falls, one of Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls. Ikeda Town Office is in Inari, and construction of a new office building and multipurpose complex is underway.
