About Buzen City
Located at the eastern end of Fukuoka Prefecture, Buzen was established in 1955 as Unoshima City through the merger of nine towns and villages including Hachiya, and was renamed Buzen City on April 14 of the same year. To the south rises Mount Kubote, known for its remains of Shugendo mountain worship, while the north faces the Suo-nada Sea. The city office is in Oaza Yoshiki.
