About Mitake Town
Mitake Town was re-established in 1955 by merging four municipalities, including the towns of Mitake and Fushimi and the village of Kaminogo. In the Edo period it was home to Mitake-juku and Fushimi-juku, post towns on the Nakasendo, and it has attractions such as Oniiwa Park. The town office is in Mitakecho Oaza Mitake.
