About Hiroo Town
Hiroo started out in 1906 as Moyori Village, was renamed Hiroo Village in 1926, and adopted town status in 1946. In 1984 it received certification as a “Santa Land” from the City of Oslo, Norway, and it is home to the Port of Tokachi, a nationally designated major port. The town office is in Nishi 4-jo 7-chome.
