About Himeji City
Himeji City, the central city of the Harima region, became one of Japan's very first cities in 1889. It developed as the castle town of Himeji Castle, a World Cultural Heritage site and National Treasure. The city office is south of Himeji Station in Yasuda, in a building completed in 1980.
