About Hikawa Town
Hikawa was formed in 2005 by merging Ryuhoku Town and Miyahara Town, and its Japanese name is read “Hikawa-cho.” It produces pears and igusa rush, the raw material for tatami mat covers, and is home to the scenic Tategami Gorge. The town office is in Shimaji.
