About Oyamazaki Town
In 1889 three villages merged to form Oyamazaki Village, which became a town in 1967; it is now the smallest town by area in Kyoto Prefecture. Here stand Mount Tenno, the stage of the Battle of Yamazaki, and Taian, a tea room designated as a National Treasure. The town office is in the Enmyoji district.
