About Aya Town
Aya became a town in 1932 and is covered by one of the largest evergreen broadleaf forests in Japan, which was registered as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 2012. The town is also known for the Teruha Suspension Bridge, Aya Castle and organic farming. The town office is in Oaza Minamimata, Aya.
