About Koumi Town
Koumi Town was established in 1956 through the merger of Koumi Village and Kitamaki Village. Located at the eastern foot of the Yatsugatake Mountains, it is a town rich in nature, dotted with highland lakes such as Lake Matsubara. The town office is in Toyosato, Koumi, and the JR Koumi Line runs through the town.
