About Myoko City
The city took its present name in 2005, when Arai City absorbed Myoko Kogen Town and Myoko Village and renamed itself Myoko City. In the west rise Mount Myoko and other peaks of around 2,000 m, dotted with hot springs and ski resorts. The main city office building is in Sakaecho.
