About Tara Town
Tara Town was created in 1955 by the merger of Tara Town and Oura Village. Facing the Ariake Sea, it is known for Takezaki crab, oysters and the torii gates standing in the sea at Ouo Shrine. The town office is along National Route 207, about a 10-minute walk from JR Tara Station.
