About Konan City
Konan was created in 2004 by the merger of the towns of Ishibe and Kosei. Zensuiji, Jorakuji and Chojuji, whose main halls and other buildings are National Treasures, are known together as the Konan Sanzan (Three Temples of Konan). The city office is split between two buildings, the East Building (Chuo) and the West Building (Ishibe-Chuo).
