About Hagi City
Hagi was formed in 2005 by the merger of seven municipalities, including the former Hagi City. Its castle town and the Shoka Sonjuku Academy are among the component parts of the Sites of Japan's Meiji Industrial Revolution, inscribed as a World Heritage Site. The city office is in Emukai.
