About Minobu Town
Minobu was established in 2004 by the merger of the towns of Minobu, Nakatomi and Shimobe. It is known as the temple town of Minobusan Kuonji, the head temple of the Nichiren school, and is also home to the Shimobe Onsen hot springs and Nishijima washi paper. The main town office is in Kiriishi (formerly Nakatomi Town).
