About Yamanashi City
The present city was established in 2005 by the merger of the former Yamanashi City, Makioka Town and Mitomi Village. Fruit growing thrives here, and the city is home to Nishizawa Gorge, known for its beautiful ravine scenery, and Fuefukigawa Fruit Park.
