About Kihoku Town
Kihoku was formed in 2005 by the merger of the town of Hiromi and Hiyoshi Village. Located in the upper reaches of the Shimanto River, it is known for Narukawa Gorge, one of the Shikoku 88 Scenic Spots, and for specialties such as pheasant, shiitake mushrooms and yuzu. The town office is in the Chikanaga area of the former town of Hiromi, and Chikanaga Station on the JR Yodo Line serves as the town's gateway.
