About Uchiko Town
Uchiko was formed in 2005 by the merger of the towns of Uchiko, Ikazaki and Oda. It is known for the Yokaichi-Gokoku Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings, where streetscapes from the late Edo period to the Meiji era survive, and for the Uchikoza playhouse. The main town office building is about 5 minutes from JR Ikazaki Station, in the Hiraoka area.
