About Asakura City
Asakura City was born in 2006 from the merger of Amagi City, Asakura Town and Haki Town. Sights include the streets of Akizuki, called the “Little Kyoto of Chikuzen”, the Asakura triple waterwheels, a national historic site, and Harazuru Onsen. The city office is in the new building in Amagi, which entered service in January 2026.
