About Nihonmatsu City
Nihonmatsu became a city in 1958 and was established anew in 2005 by merging with the towns of Adachi, Iwashiro and Towa. It is the castle town of Nihonmatsu Castle, one of Japan's Top 100 Castles, and is known for Mount Adatara, celebrated in the poetry collection "Chieko-sho," and for its chrysanthemum dolls. The city office is in Konjiki, Nihonmatsu.
