About Minamikyushu City
Minamikyushu, in the southern Satsuma Peninsula, was formed in 2007 by the merger of the towns of Ei, Chiran and Kawanabe. A tea-growing area known for Chiran tea, it is home to the Chiran Peace Museum for Kamikaze Pilots and the Chiran samurai residence street. The city office is in Chiran-cho Kori.
