About Tano Town
Tano came into being in 1920 when Tano Village gained town status and has not gone through any merger since; its official website describes it as "the smallest town in Shikoku". It is known for salt made entirely by sun-drying, as well as Oka Goten and the Hamakawa Shoten sake brewery. The town office is at 1828-5 Tano-cho.
