About Kikuyo Town
In 1955, three villages including Tsuda and Haramizu merged to form Kikuyo Village, which became a town in 1969. The town is known for the Hanaguri Ide irrigation channel, said to have been built by Kato Kiyomasa, and for the semiconductor plant of JASM, a TSMC subsidiary. The town office is about a 10-minute walk from JR Haramizu Station.
