About Marumori Town
The southernmost town in Miyagi, Marumori took its present form in 1954 through the merger of seven towns and villages, including Marumori Town and Kanayama Town. It is known for the Abukuma Line boat rides on the Abukuma River and for the Sairi House, a local history museum set in old storehouses. The town office is in Aza Toya, Marumori.
