About Tarama Village
Tarama became Tarama Village after separating from Hirara Village in 1913, and it is the only municipality belonging to Miyako District. A member of The Most Beautiful Villages in Japan association, it has had the "Tarama Harvest Festival" certified as a registered regional resource. The village office is in Nakasuji.
