About Hidaka City
Hidaka City began as Hidaka Town, formed in 1955 by merging the villages of Koma and Komagawa, and gained city status in 1991. It is known for Kinchakuda, Japan’s largest colony of red spider lilies, and for Koma Shrine, associated with Goguryeo people of the Nara period. The city office is in Minamihirasawa.
