About Omiya Ward
Omiya Ward of Saitama City was created in 2003 when Saitama became a designated city. The area around Omiya Station is the largest business and commercial district in the prefecture, and the ward is home to Musashi Ichinomiya Hikawa Shrine, Omiya Park and the Railway Museum. The ward office is in Kishikicho, where a new building that also houses the Omiya Library opened in 2019.
