About Soka City
Soka City gained city status in 1958. The pine-lined avenue that survives at the old Soka post town on the Nikko Kaido, Soka Matsubara, is a national Place of Scenic Beauty, and the city is known for its local specialty, Soka senbei rice crackers. The city office is in Takasago, and its new building opened in 2023.
