About Yoshimi Town
Yoshimi Town in Hiki District began as Yoshimi Village, formed in 1954 by merging four villages, and gained town status in 1972. A rural town near the center of the prefecture, it is known for the Yoshimi Hyakuana, a national historic site made up of Kofun-period cave tombs. The town office is in Shimohosoya.
