About Masuda City
Masuda gained city status in 1952 through the merger of eight towns and villages, including Masuda Town, and annexed Mito and Hikimi towns in 2004. It has the largest area of any municipality in Shimane, with the Takatsu River flowing through it, and borders Yamaguchi and Hiroshima. The city office is in Tokiwacho, Masuda.
