About Morotsuka Village
Morotsuka Village was created in 1889 through the merger of the villages of Eshiro and Nanatsuyama. Nestled in the Kyushu Mountains, it is known for Morotsuka Kagura, selected as an Intangible Folk Cultural Property by the national government, and for Tsukabaru Dam. The village office is in Oaza Eshiro, Morotsuka, where a new building was completed in 1987.
