About Nishimera Village
When the municipal system took effect in 1889, the western side of the Mera mountains became Nishimera Village, which has continued ever since without any mergers. Set deep in the Kyushu Mountains, it is a mountain village with forests covering 96% of its area, and has the Nishimera Onsen Yutato hot spring and Ogawa Castle Ruins Park. The village office is in Oaza Murasho, Nishimera.
