About Ando Town
Ando Town dates back to Ando Village, founded in 1889, which became a town in 1986. It is the birthplace of the potter Tomimoto Kenkichi and home to the Naka Family Residence, a nationally designated Important Cultural Property. The town office is in the Higashiando district, about 2.3 km east of JR Horyuji Station.
