About Shimokitayama Village
Shimokitayama Village was formed in 1889 from the 10 villages of the lower part of the Kitayama area. Crossed by the Omine Okugake pilgrimage route, it is rich in nature, including the Fudo Nanae Falls at Zenki and Ikehara Dam. The village office moved to the former Shimokitayama Elementary School in 2025 and is in Oaza Teragaito.
