Tochigi Inochi no Denwa is a private volunteer organization that opened in September 1980 as the 10th Inochi no Denwa in Japan. It now takes calls 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. You are not asked for your name, and your conversation is confidential. Besides talking by phone, it also offers online counseling and "Komorebi," a sharing group for people who have lost a loved one to suicide.

• Sharing group for people bereaved by suicide, "Komorebi"

  A gathering where people who have lost a loved one to suicide share their feelings. As a rule it meets twice a month, on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays (both 2:00–4:00 p.m. according to the schedule), and the participation fee is 200 yen per session. Dates may change, so check the website.
