About Misasa Town
Misasa Town was formed in 1953 by the merger of five villages, including Misasa Village, and has remained independent, staying out of the great Heisei-era mergers. It is known for Misasa Onsen, whose waters are rich in radon, and the National Treasure Nageiredo Hall of Sanbutsuji Temple. The town office occupies a building completed in 1976.
