About Yurihama Town
Yurihama Town was formed in 2004 by the merger of Hawai Town, Tomari Village and Togo Town, and its name comes from its hot springs (yu), Nijisseiki pears (nashi) and sandy beaches (hama). Hawai Onsen and Togo Onsen lie on the shores of Lake Togo, and the town is known as the birthplace of Ground Golf. The town office is in the Kuru area.
