About Oirase Town
Oirase Town was created in 2006 by merging the towns of Shimoda and Momoishi, and its name comes from the Oirase River, which flows through the town. It has developed as a commuter town for Hachinohe and Misawa. The main office is in Nakashimoda, about a 16-minute walk from Shimoda Station on the Aoimori Railway, and there is also an annex.
