About Takahama Town
Located at the western tip of Fukui, Takahama took its present form in 1955 when the town of Takahama merged with the villages of Aogo, Wada and Uchiura. It is home to Mount Aoba, known as "Wakasa Fuji," and Wakasa Wada Beach, selected as one of Japan's 100 best sunset spots. The town office is in Miyazaki, Takahama, Oi District.
