About Aki Ward
Aki Ward of Hiroshima was established in 1980 when the city became a government-designated city, and covers areas of the former Aki District, including the towns of Senogawa, Funakoshi and Yano. The Yano area is an exclave separated from the rest of the ward by Kaita Town, and Mount Ege rises over the ward. The ward office is in Funakoshiminami.
