About Naka Ward
Naka Ward of Hiroshima was established when the city became a government-designated city in 1980, and is home to both the prefectural office and the city office. Within the ward are the Atomic Bomb Dome, a World Heritage Site, and the Peace Memorial Park, along with Hiroshima Castle and the busy downtown districts of Kamiyacho and Hatchobori. The ward office is in Kokutaiji-machi.
