One-Stop Support Centers for Victims of Sexual Crimes and Sexual Violence (#8891): phone number and hours

• Social media consultation on sexual violence, "Cure time"

  Anyone can consult anonymously, regardless of age, sex or sexuality. Chat consultation is available every day 17:00–21:00, including in foreign languages. Email consultation (Japanese only) is also available. It is the Cabinet Office's "Program to Promote Social Media Consultation Support on Sexual Violence."

  If you cannot use #8891, call your prefecture's center directly. The list shows each center's days and hours, night and holiday reception, phone number, and whether it offers consultations in person, by email or via social media.

• Call #8891 and you are connected to your nearest one-stop support center.
• From mobile phones and NTT analog landlines, call #8891; from NTT Hikari Denwa, call 0120-889-177 (different numbers apply in Miyagi, Saitama and Kochi prefectures). Consultation is free of call charges.
• Days and hours differ by center, and some centers take calls 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In some areas, the "Night and Holiday Call Center for Victims of Sexual Violence" takes calls outside a center's hours.
• Besides phone calls, some centers take consultations in person, by email or via social media. Some centers also have dedicated helplines for victims who are men or boys, or LGBTs.

• You cannot connect from some IP phones and other services. If you cannot use #8891, call the one-stop support center of your prefecture directly (call charges apply, except in some local governments).
• When inter-carrier roaming for mobile phones is in effect due to a large-scale disaster or a major communications failure, you cannot be connected to your nearest center.

Your municipality (city, ward, town or village) also has counters for welfare, health and child-rearing concerns. Call the main number, explain what you want to discuss, and ask for the counter in charge.
