  Accepted 12:00–22:00. Besides Japanese, it is available in 10 languages: English, Tagalog, Thai, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Portuguese, Nepali, Vietnamese and Indonesian.

  A web reception desk that accepts requests 24 hours a day. When you enter and send your email address, you receive by email the URL of a chat site for your consultation, and a counselor replies within about 1 week.

  Call #8008 (remembered in Japanese as "ha-re-re-ba") and you are connected to your nearest Spousal Violence Counseling and Support Center.

• Specialist counselors think things through with you about the various forms of violence (domestic violence) you are experiencing from a spouse or partner. You can also consult at the stage of wondering, "Is this domestic violence?"
• Phone calls are accepted 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
• Consultations from men are also accepted, and every Sunday 15:00–21:00 a dedicated line for men is available.
• After listening to you in detail, if the counselor judges it necessary, they provide direct support such as in-person meetings and accompanying you, and a safe place to stay.
• Consultations are handled by a team. If, for example, they judge that there is a danger to your life, they may contact the police or other relevant agencies to keep you safe.

• In an emergency where you need a police officer to come right away, call 110.
• Recording your conversations with the helpline is prohibited.

Your municipality (city, ward, town or village) also has counters for welfare, health and child-rearing concerns. Call the main number, explain what you want to discuss, and ask for the counter in charge.
