Shizuoka Inochi no Denwa: phone number and hours

Shizuoka Inochi no Denwa opened in 1999 and has taken calls 365 days a year since 2007. Today, every day from noon to 9:00 p.m., volunteer counselors who have completed the training course listen free of charge and anonymously to your worries and mental crises.

• Online counseling

  The online counseling service of the Federation of Inochi no Denwa. Replies take about 1 week, and intake may be suspended when the limit on the number of requests is reached.

• Counseling is free, you do not have to give your name, and the content of your call is always kept confidential.
• Calls are answered by volunteer counselors who have completed the prescribed training course and been certified.
• The service listens by phone to people suffering from loneliness and anxiety due to suicidal thoughts and all kinds of worries and mental crises.
• It is also contracted to cover the holiday and nighttime hours of Shizuoka Prefecture's "Kokoro no Denwa" (mental health line).
• In 2017 it opened a Mishima branch, and also provides telephone counseling as a base for eastern Shizuoka Prefecture.
