About Kitahiroshima Town
Kitahiroshima was created in 2005 by the merger of four towns: Oasa, Geihoku, Chiyoda and Toyohira. The town preserves the Mibu no Hana-taue rice-planting festival, an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property, and has historic sites such as the ruins of the Kikkawa Motoharu Residence. The town office is in Arita, in the former Chiyoda Town.
