About Tonosho Town
Tonosho Town in Katori District was formed in 1955 by the merger of Sasagawa Town and three villages, and its name comes from the area’s history as an estate of the To clan. It is the setting of the “Tempo Suikoden” tales and the birthplace of the chivalrous gambler Sasagawa no Shigezo. The town office is in Sasagawa.
